Announcement of postponed AMC-2020

Due to the uncertain development of the pandemic COVID-19, the Organizing Committee of the Asian Mathematical Conference 2020 has decided to postpone the conference to July 26 – 30, 2021, which will be held in Halong, Vietnam. We are very sorry for the inconveniences caused by this decision to the intended participants. We do hope that all invited speakers would continue to support the conference by participating in the conference in 2021.

The Asian Mathematical Conference (AMC) series is a major SEAMS conference, held every 4-5 years since 1990, and hosted by countries in Asia. The first AMC was held in Hong Kong (1990), the second was in Thailand (1995), the third in the Philippines (2000), the fourth in Singapore (2005), the fifth was Malaysia (2009), the sixth AMC was in Busan, Korea (2013). At AMC-2013 it was decided that the next AMCs will be held in the middle between two International Congress of Mathematics. Therefore,  the seventh AMC was in Bali, Indonesia (2016).

The objective of the conference is to provide a forum for mathematics researchers from Asia and as well as other continents to foster links and collaboration among themselves and with mathematicians from other parts of the world through the discussion of issues, exchange of ideas and the presentation of research findings.

The next AMC will be held in 2020 and hosted by Vietnam. There will be plenary lectures. Invited lectures, short communication and poster will be divided in ten Special sections

There will be AMC-2020 satellite conferences on selected topics organized in surrounding cities/provinces of Halong city, just before the main event. Please look at Satellite Workshops for the full list.
