10:00-10:15: coffee break.
10:15-11:15: lecture+discussion.
The goal of this mini-course is to introduce the audience to basic concepts and main problems in representation theory of finite and algebraic groups, as well as some applications of group representation theory to other areas of mathematics. The mini-course is intended for graduate students and advanced undergraduate students.
