Course and Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change

1. Objective

Course on Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change will take place from December 2-4, 2024, as part of the annual activities of Vietnamese Climate Science and Environmental Modelling Network (VCSEMN), Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VCSEMN: viasm.edu.vn/en/hdkh/VCSEMN).

The threeo-day course will feature lectures on fundamental and applied artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on applications in flood modeling, along with practical exercises on specific projects provided by the instructors
Along the course, the Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change will also be held on December 4, 2024. This scientific forum connects experts in climate change research and related issues such as hydrometeorology, agricultural environment, fisheries, ... and mathematicians as well as modelers to share important issues, research results as well as cooperation opportunities on environment and climate change in the world in general and especially focusing on Vietnam. The conference consists of two sessions: a session with scientific talks sharing recent research results on the domain and an open discussion session on emerging issues in climate research in Vietnam
