Summer school on Hyperbolicity in complex and arithmetic geometry and applications

- The school is designed to provide undergraduate and graduate students in Mathematics with a comprehensive introduction to hyperbolicity, covering both complex geometry and arithmetic geometry.
- The program will consist of two mini-courses, each delivered over 4 sessions. The first course, delivered by Erwan Rousseau (University of Brest, France), will focus on hyperbolicity in complex geometry. Participants will be introduced to key concepts such as metrics with negative curvature, positivity of bundles of differential forms, entire curves, and jet differentials.
- The second course, led by Amos Turchet (University of Roma 3, Italy), will explore hyperbolicity in arithmetic geometry. This course will present the main conjectures and landmark results from recent decades, ranging from classical theorems of Siegel and Faltings to contemporary advances in the study of integral and rational points on algebraic varieties.
