The Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) invites research groups and individuals to apply for short-term research stays in  2022 (the length of stay from 2  up to 12 months). Candidates are groups or individuals in any branch of mathematics and the mathematical sciences. 

Priority will be given to collaborative research groups, but application from outstanding individual researchers will be considered. 

The VIASM Scientific Council will appoint candidates in the following categories: Distinguished Professor, Research Professor, Senior Researcher, Researcher and young researcher. 

In addition, VIASM invites applications for 1-year post-doctoral fellowships in 2022 (in all areas of mathematics, including statistics and data science). Only applicants who complete their Ph.D after 01 January 2016 will be considered.    

Research fellows will receive a research honorarium during their stays.  Accommodation in Hanoi could be arranged by the Institute. Research fellows are expected to stay for at least two months. Travel support from home institutions will be available upon request. 

In addition, research groups are encouraged to organize research activities and invite  domestic and international mathematicians to a joint research project. 

How to apply:  Applications are submitted online only at rms.viasm.edu.vn. Only the Principle Investigator can submit the proposal and invite other members of the group. After receiving an invitation email, members of the group will be given access to the system and provide required documents.

Deadline for submission of Applications: : 31 December 2020, Hanoi time.   

Decision on the proposals will be published by the end of March 2021.
