In 2026, the funding program for research in Lattice-based Cryptography is launching a Research Collaboration Program at the Advanced Cryptography Research Laboratory (ACR Lab), Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM).
The program's research theme focuses on “Research and development of selected post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.”
The program is seeking to recruit 03 Research Fellows and 04 Research Interns. The detailed requirements are as follows:
- Research Fellows (03 positions)
Duration: 3 to 6 months, as mutually agreed.
- Job description:
- Collaborate on research tasks regarding Lattice-based Post-Quantum Cryptography with experts from the Government Cipher Committee (Institute of Cryptography Science and Technology) and ACR Lab.
- Participate in evaluating draft standards on post-quantum cryptography from the Government Cipher Committee.
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and papers/reports on research findings.
- Report research progress and results in accordance with the contract to be signed (subject to agreement).
- Candidate requirements:
- Candidates must hold Vietnamese citizenship.
- Must hold a PhD in Mathematics, Mathematics-Informatics, Computer Science, or related fields, and possess an understanding of the Field of Cryptography.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have published scientific works on post-quantum cryptography.
- Benefits:
- Stipend: 31 million VND/month.

- Research Interns (04 positions)
Duration: 3 to 6 months, as mutually agreed.
- Job description:
- Carry out research tasks on the topic of Lattice-based Post-Quantum Cryptography.
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and papers/reports on research findings.
- Report research progress and results in accordance with the contract to be signed (subject to agreement).
- Candidate requirements:
- Candidates must hold Vietnamese citizenship.
- Must be final-year undergraduate students or postgraduate students majoring in Mathematics, Mathematics-Informatics, Computer Science, or related fields, and possess an understanding of the Field of Cryptography.
- Preference will be given to students from the Talent Bachelor of Science Program or High-Quality Programs.
- Must have a solid foundation in Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Probability Theory, and Public-Key Cryptography.
- Benefits:
- Stipend: 11.5 million VND/month.
- Opportunity to intern and participate in research within an international-standard environment, under the mentorship of cryptography scientists from the Government Cipher Committee and ACR Lab specializing in post-quantum cryptography.
- Students with excellent performance may receive recommendations for overseas studies and/or continued employment at domestic cryptography research institutions.
