Covid-19 Travel Updates

Vietnam's regulations and procedures on immigration are constantly updated to adapt to new changes in the country’s Covid-19 situation. According to the Official Dispatch 1606/VPCP-QHQT 2022 regarding the restoration of Vietnam's immigration policy, Vietnam agrees to resume measures and procedures for immigration applicable to foreigners and overseas Vietnamese, that have been applied before imposing restrictions for COVID-19 prevention and control, from March 15, 2022, in accordance with the Law on Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through and Residence in Vietnam, and guiding documents.

This aims to stimulate international travel to Vietnam in ‘new normal’ context. International researchers and visitors coming to VIASM in the near future are recommended to contact application@viasm.edu.vn  for visa support.

International researchers/visitors coming to VIASM need to prepare their own insurance that covers the cost of Covid-19 treatment and meet the immigration requirements of the Vietnam government.

In case of Covid-19 infection in Vietnam, the researcher/guest will perform on-site isolation (arranged by VIASM) and receive support during the isolation period (eg, support to buy necessities, medicine), researchers/guests should pay for isolation expenses (if any).

In order to provide the most complete information to VIASM about the Covid-19 epidemic situation, VIASM has collected a number of useful resources to inform its community about the Covid-19 virus and various responses to the emergency.
