The Summer Program on “PDEs and Applied Mathematics” has open in the morning of July 14, 2014. This program includes several short courses and workshops that will be aimed at the level of advanced undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs.

Participants of the Program includes many PDEs specialists from US, France, Japan and various regions in Vietnam. VIASM Board of Directors also attended the Opening Ceremony, with the welcoming speech from Prof. Ngo Bao Chau – VIASM Scientific Director.

This summer program consists of:

● PDEs and Continuum Mechanics, July 14 – 25, 2014.

● One-­day workshop in PDEs, July 18, 2014

● Some Mathematical Problems related to Electromagnetic Waves, July 28 – Aug 7.

Most lectures are in the mornings, leaving the afternoons open for discussions. The primarily goal of the Program is to attract young and talented researchers to work in PDEs, and to build up a network between scientists in Vietnam and abroad.
