VEF Fellowship and Grant Programs for 2014 and 2015

VEF is an independent federal agency of the U.S. Government with the primary purpose of promoting the bilateral relationship between the United States and Vietnam through educational exchanges.

The fields of studies supported by VEF are sciences (natural, physical, and environmental), technology (including information technology), engineering, mathematics, and medicine (including public health and health sciences).

We are pleased to announce the timeline and application process of the 3 programs for the years of 2014 and 2015, as below:

1. Fellowship Program for 2015: 40 full fellowships for Vietnamese nationals to pursue graduate studies (Master’s/Ph.D. programs) in the U.S., through cost-sharing agreements between VEF and highly-regarded U.S. universities.

Applications will be available ONLY online at VEF website at www.vef.gov, from 10:00 a.m., December 10, 2013, to 10:00 a.m., April 10, 2014 (Vietnam time).

2. Visiting Scholar Program for 2015: 3 grants for Vietnamese nationals to under-take postdoctoral professional development programs in the U.S., from 5 to 12 months.

Applications will be available ONLY online at VEF website at www.vef.gov, from 10:00 a.m., January 20, 2014, to 10:00 a.m., April 10, 2014 (Vietnam time).

3. U.S. Faculty Scholar Program for 2014: At least 1 grant for U.S. faculty to teach courses in English at Vietnamese universities either on-site in Vietnam or by interactive, real-time videoconferencing from the United States, from one to two semesters.

Applications are available ONLY online at VEF website at www.vef.gov, from October 1, 2013, to February 28, 2014 (U.S. time).
