SEAMS Forum: Undergraduate Mathematics Curriculum Reform in the Era of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence

Objective

SEAMS (Southeast Asia Mathematical Society) was established in 1972 and consists of nine mathematical societies: Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. 

The SEAMS Forum aims to continue promoting the advancement of mathematics and facilitating exchange and collaboration between mathematicians in the Southeast Asian region and Asia in general. It is composed of members of mathematical societies in Southeast Asia.

This 2024 Southeast Asia Mathematical Society meeting will examine and discuss each country's approach to the changing undergraduate mathematics curricula across Southeast Asia, ensuring that they align with the evolving demands of big data analysis and artificial intelligence applications while maintaining a strong foundation in mathematical theory and problem-solving skills.
