This talk gives an introduction to Differential Geometry and is aimed at undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering. We shall give a historical account on the origins of Differential Geometry, starting with the classical approaches by Gauss and Riemann, but we also shall describe some of the more recent developments of this exciting branch of mathematics.
