The workshop “Harmonic Analysis and Several Complex Variables” was first organized by the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) in 2016. And in 2019, the workshop continues to be organized by VIASM from 13 to 16 August.
It is well-known that there are many deep, interesting connections between Harmonic Analysis, Geometric Analysis and Complex Analysis of One variable. In particular, as one of the most classic examples, the Cauchy’s Integral Formula in basic complex analysis courses presents those connections. However, in case Complex Analysis of One variable is replaced by Several Complex Variables, there is not so much fruitful interaction between these fields.
The aim of the workshop is to bring both active senior researchers and young mathematicians in Harmonic Analysis, Geometric Analysis and Several Complex Variables and to foster an exchange of ideas between these fields. In the workshop, there are 14 talks delivered by prominent professors, young researchers who are working at Viet Nam or abroad. The invited speakers will present their interests, latest results and discuss their ongoing projects, such as the theory of projective algebraic varieties, regularity for some partial differential equations, Nevanlinna theory, pluripotential theory, et cetera. Particularly, the organizers hope that the workshop can create opportunities for collaborative research among participating members.
At the end of the workshop, participants discussed about possibilities to organize the third workshop, which they hoped to be held in 2021.
