Prof. Matthias Hieber was also an invited speaker at the workshop on Evolution Equations and Applications at VIASM (October 19-21, 2015).

The mini-course lasted 2 days (October 22-23, 2015). In this Mini-course, the lecturer presented an analytic approach toward the problems related to incompressible fluid flows using evolution equations. Reformulating the Navier-Stokes and related equations as evolution equations we can use the recent advances of mathematical analysis and one-parameter C_0-Semigroup theory to handle such evolution equations leading to applications in concrete problems of fluid dynamic.
