Being financially supported by Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED), Spring School “Analysis and approximation in optimization under uncertainty” has opened at 9:00 today, 18 February 2013 at VIASM. This is the first scientific activity at VIASM in the Lunar New Year 2013 (the year of the snake), with the attendance of well-known mathematicians from Vietnam and from the world. Among them, Prof. R. T. Rockafellar and Prof. H. Tụy give the two main lectures.

The school will last until Saturday, 23 February 2013.
