The first training school for highschool math teachers in 2013 is taking place at VIASM, August 26, 2013. This is an activity of the National Program for the Development of Mathematics from 2010 to 2020 (NPDM)

Attendants of the opening ceremony of the school include Prof. Ngo Bao Chau – Scientific Director of VIASM and some members of NPDM Executive Board.

The training school aims to provide highschool teachers more materials and techniques using for enhancing knowledge of gifted students and training students for national and international math contests. The main content of this training is contained in the lectures about arithmetics and combinatorics as well as in the discussions about teaching methods for gifted students. There are 26 teachers from highschools for gifted students in the north of Vietnam in this training.

Participants of the 1st training course are teachers from highschools for gifted students in northern Vietnam.

The participants are trained in two sessions everyday, starting at 8h30 Monday 26/08/2013 and ending at 16h30 Saturday 31/08/2013. We expect the second training for highschool teachers in the central Vietnam will be started from 10 to 15/10/2013 in Da Nang and the third for Southern high school teachers will be started from 21 to 26/11/2013 in Can Tho.
