VIASM invites research fellowship application for the year 2015

VEF Fellowship and Grant Programs for 2014 and 2015

VEF is an independent federal agency of the U.S. Government with the primary purpose of promoting the bilateral relationship between the United States and Vietnam through educational exchanges. The fields of studies supported by VEF are sciences (natural, physical, and environmental), technology (including information technology), engineering, mathematics, and medicine (including public health and health sciences). New appointed Managing Director of VIASM

Since October 18, 2013, Prof. Nguyen Huu Du - Vice-Rector of Hanoi University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi (and also Secretary of Scientific Council of VIASM) has appointed as the Managing Director of VIASM in replacement of Prof. Le Tuan Hoa who was earlier appointed as Director of Institute of Mathematics, VAST.

Berlin Mathematical School (BMS) calls for applications for (post)graduate programs

The Berlin Mathematical School is the joint graduate school of the mathematics departments at the three major universities in Berlin: Freie Universitaet, Humboldt-Universitaet and Technische Universitaet. It offers an excellent (post)graduate program taught in English in a broad and active research environment. Deadline for admission with scholarship: 15 December 2013.

Mini-workshop “Differential Equations and Applications” took place on October 18, 2013, at Lecture Hall C2 at Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM). The mini-workshop was organized by VIASM and the research group Differential Equations & Dynamical Systems which are working at the Institute.

Call for Applications BMS Dirichlet Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Berlin Mathematical School (BMS) invites applications for the Dirichlet Postdoctoral Fellowship starting in the fall of 2014. This two-year position is open to promising young mathematicians holding a PhD who want to pursue their own research in any of the fields of mathematics represented in Berlin. The competitive full-year salary includes health insurance. Fellows are expected to teach one course per semester, typically in English and at the graduate level.
