The public lecture “Machine learning for the Internet of Things: Making Smart Things Smart” took place at VIASM on Friday, January 16, 2015. The purpose of the public lectures series at VIASM is to popularize the role of mathematics and its relation with other sciences.
SEAMS schools
Since 2011 SEAMS schools are organized in SEAMS member-countries. This series of SEAMS schools of various topics is supported by CIMPA to provide an opportunities for graduate students to learn advanced topics in Mathematics as well as to meet experts in the fields.

The first NTU-VIASM Workshop on Discrete Mathematics
The first NTU – VIASM Workshop on Descrete Mathematics has opened on December 27, 2014. This is the first joint workshop organized by Nanyang Tecnological University (NTU, Singapore) and VIASM and this will last until December 30, 2014. The workshop is also sponsored by Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).
Mini-course: Introduction to the Theory of Buildings
The theory of buildings studies certain geometric structures, having at the same time certain combinatorial structures, which was discovered and developped by a distingusihed french mathematician Jacques Tits during the late 50's of the last century which aimed at unifying the exisisting theories in the classification of Lie groups.
