Topology of Singularity
The three days workshop Topology of Singularity has started at VIASM on February 20, 2017. The aim of the workshop is to create a forum for researchers from Japan and Vietnam to exchange methods, new ideas, results, and perspectives in Singularity Theory.

The autumn school IACR-SEAMS School “Cryptography: Foundations and New Directions” is the first joint school between The International Association of Cryptology Research IACR and The South East Asia Mathematical Society (SEAMS) organized by Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and University of Science – Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU-HUS).

The Mini-course “Uncertainty Quantification and Approximation Theory for Parameterized PDEs”, lectured by Prof. Clayton G. Webster, Dr. Hoang Tran, and Dr. Guannan Zhang (Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA), started at VIASM on November 14, 2016. This Mini-course will last until November 17, 2016.
The winter school on Gamma-Convergence and Homogenization in Continuum Mechanics
The winter school started at VIASM on 31/10/2016. The two main speakers are Prof. Chiara Zanini, Department of Mathematical Sciences “G. L. Lagrange”, Politecnico di Torino and Dr. Marita Thomas, Weierstrass Institute, Berlin (Germany). The school is organized until 04/11/2016.
VIASM Annual Meeting 2016
VIASM Annual Meeting 2016 took place on Saturday August 27, 2016 at VIASM. This annual event of VIASM is following Bourbaki seminars and this is the fifth in the series (since 2012).
