VIASM invites the submission of proposals of Research Programs and postdoc fellowships for 2021
Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) invites research groups and individuals to apply for short-term research stays for the year 2021 (from 2 up to 12 months). Candidates are groups or individuals who are teaching, doing research as well as applying mathematics in various areas of technology, economics and society. The proposals will be evaluated by the VIASM Scientific Council.
One-day workshop "Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems: Qualitative Theory, Control, and Applications"
The one-day workshop "Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems: Qualitative Theory, Control, and Applications" took place at VIASM on October 16, 2019, on the occasion of visiting to VIASM of Professor Tibor Krisztin, an Academician of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is a leading expert in the field of differential equations with delays. The aim of this workshop is to create a forum for Vietnamese mathematicians in Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems to exchange new ideas and results with Professor Tibor Krisztin. Attending the workshop were Prof. Tibor Krisztin, Prof. Tran Van Nhung, Prof. Nguyen Huu Du, Prof. Vu Ngoc Phat, Prof. Vu Hoang Linh and many mathematicians working in the field of Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems in Hanoi and some neighborhoods.
Mini-course “Schubert Calculus"
In the morning of September 23, 2019, the Mini-course "Schubert Calculus" opened at the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, with the lectures of Professor Takeshi Ikeda from the Okayama University of Sciences, Japan and Dr. Dang Tuan Hiep from the Da Lat University, Vietnam.
Workshop “Harmonic Analysis and Several Complex Variables 2019”
The workshop “Harmonic Analysis and Several Complex Variables” was first organized by the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) in 2016. And in 2019, the workshop continues to be organized by VIASM from 13 to 16 August.

On June 10th, 2019, the Vietnam - USA Joint Mathematical Meeting 2019 Opening Ceremony was held at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Qui Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.
