Minicourse: Around some Connections between Convex Geometry and Algebraic Geometry

Objective

This mini-course concerns the relationship between algebraic geometry and convex geometry. More precisely, it explains the analogy between Hilbert–Samuel multiplicities of ideals and covolume computations of cocompact convex sets.

Target participants

Undergraduates, graduate students, young researchers, and mathematicians interested in algebraic geometry and convex geometry.
