Abstract

The lecture series will focus on “Polynomial Interpolation in Several Variables and Ideal Containment Problem.” Each session consists of a one-hour formal lecture followed by an hour of informal discussion for interested participants.

About the Lecturer

Prof. Ha Huy Tai is a mathematician specializing in commutative algebra, computational algebra, and algebraic geometry, currently serving as Professor of Mathematics and Chair of the Mathematics Department at Tulane University (USA). He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Queen’s University (Canada) in 2000, after completing his undergraduate studies at Curtin University (Australia). His research focuses on topics such as graded families of ideals, convex geometric aspects of algebraic invariants, and problems related to polynomial interpolation and graph theory. He has published extensively in leading international journals and has received significant research funding from organizations such as the National Science Foundation and the Simons Foundation. In addition, he is actively engaged in the international academic community as a journal editor, invited speaker, and visiting professor at various research institutions worldwide.
