Title: Homotopy theory of Lie functors and the homotopy theory of spheres after Bousfield-Kan, Breen, Mikhailov

Abstract: The course will describe an unpublished (to the knowledge of the speaker) computation by Bousfield and Kan. It will be the opportunity to discuss free Lie algebras, restricted Lie algebras and the Magnus)Witt theorem on the lower central series for free groups. We will describe shortly applications to homotopy groups of spheres.

Title: Derived functors of non-additive functors

Abstract: This course serves as preparation for the subsequent advanced course by Lionel Schwartz. We will present the fundamentals of simplicial abelian groups, with a special emphasis on the Dold-Puppe derived functors of non-additive functors.
