Mini-course: An introduction to randomness in two dimensions

Abstract:

We will give an overview of some recent developments and ideas that have to do with the understanding of random planar structures defined directly in the continuum — focusing in particular on the role of complex analysis and conformal invariance. We will mention ideas and results of Schramm, Sheffield etc. but will not go into the details of the proofs…

No particular prior knowledge in probability theory is needed.
