Three professors, who are top experts in PDE and applications in the US, will teach three summer courses. The three courses will run from 22/7/2024 to 26/7/2024. Each course will have about 4 lectures of one hour each. Here is a tentative list of the three lecturers (to be confirmed).

Suzanne Lenhart is a Chancellor's Professor of Mathematics and Cox Professor at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Dr. Lenhart was AWM/MAA Falconer Lecturer in 1997, and AWM/SIAM Sonia Kovalevsky Lecturer in 2010 in recognition of her significant research in partial differential equations, ordinary differential equations, and optimal control. She was elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2010 and became a SIAM Fellow in 2011. In 2013, she was selected as a fellow of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) in the inaugural class. In 2017, she was selected as a fellow of the Association for Women in Mathematics in the inaugural class. Very recently, Dr. Lenhart just delivered the AMS Josiah Willard Gibbs Lecture at the Joint Math Meeting 2024.
2. Khai Tien Nguyen (NCSU):

Khai Nguyen is currently an associate professor at the Department of Mathematics, North Carolina State University. Khai Nguyen received his Ph.D. from the University of Padova in Italy. Dr. Khai Nguyen’s research is on nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws, optimal controls, differential games, and related topics. He has published around 50 papers in peer reviewed journals many of which are in top-ranking journals. Dr. Khai Nguyen’s research is recognized by many awards including an NSF grant.
3. Minh-Binh Tran (TAMU):

Minh-Binh Tran is currently an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics, at Texas A&M University. Minh-Binh Tran received his PhD at Paris 13 University in France. Dr. Minh-Binh Tran's research focuses on the various aspects of wave and kinetic equations, including analysis, numerics, applications, and stochastic control, as well as the connection between stochastic control and machine learning. He has published around 45 papers in peer-reviewed journals and two Springer lecture notes. Dr. Minh-Binh Tran’s research is recognized by many awards, including the NSF CAREER Award and 2021-2024 Alexander von Humboldt Fellow.
