Tóm tắt: This is the first talk in the series of learning seminar on the breakthrough paper of Bhargava and Shankar "Binary quartic forms having bounded invariants, and the boundedness of the average rank of elliptic curves". In this talk, I will discuss the history, main results, and sketch of some proofs to let participants have a general idea of what will be discussed. The keywords are: elliptic curve, Selmer group, binary quartic form, masses of 2-covering, and coregular representation.
