Tóm tắt: In the first part of this talk, we discuss the weak and strong Lefschetz properties for R/in(It), where It is the ideal of a polynomial ring R generated by the t-minors of an m × n matrix of indeterminates, and in(It) denotes the initial ideal of It with respect to a diagonal monomial order. In the second part, we introduce the notion of the linear closure of a homogeneous ideal, and study some of its properties. In particular, we explore the connections between this notion and the Lefschetz properties. This talk is based on my paper and on ongoing joint work with Hailong Dao.
