Huy Tuan Pham is currently a Clay Research Fellow based at Stanford University. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 2023 where he was advised by Jacob Fox. Before that, he obtained an MASt in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in 2019 and a BS in Mathematics and MS in Statistics at Stanford University in 2018.

Huy’s main research interest is in probabilistic and extremal combinatorics, and related applications in probability theory, additive combinatorics and number theory, and theoretical computer science. His recent works focus on the study of thresholds in random discrete systems and connections to suprema of stochastic processes. Other themes of his recent works include applications of the regularity method in the study of thresholds and large deviations in random graphs, and the use of probabilistic ideas to resolve long-standing conjectures of Erdős in additive number theory.

He is a recipient of the 2024 Dénes König Prize and the ICBS Frontiers of Science Award in Mathematics.

GS. Ngô Đắc Tuấn sinh tại Bắc Ninh và lớn lên ở Hà Nội. Ông học trung học tại khối chuyên Toán A0, trường ĐH Khoa học Tự nhiên Hà Nội. Sau khi học hết hai năm Đại học đại cương tại ĐH Khoa học Tự nhiên Hà Nội, ông được cấp học bổng sang học ở trường Bách Khoa Paris tại Cộng hoà Pháp, tốt nghiệp cử nhân Kỹ sư năm 2000 và thạc sĩ ngành Toán năm 2001. Ba năm sau (2004), ông nhận bằng tiến sĩ toán học tại Đại học Paris 11 (Cộng hoà Pháp) dưới sự hướng dẫn của Giáo sư Laurent Lafforgue. Sau thời gian nghiên cứu hậu tiến sĩ tại Viện Nghiên cứu cấp cao IHES, Cộng hoà Pháp, từ năm 2005 ông làm việc ở Trung Tâm Nghiên cứu khoa học cơ bản (CNRS) của Pháp, trong chức vụ phó giáo sư rồi giáo sư. Từ năm 2021, ông giữ ghế “Excellence Chair” của vùng Normandy. Từ năm 2022, ông là Giáo sư bán thời gian tại trường Bách Khoa Paris (Cộng hoà Pháp).

Hướng nghiên cứu của ông liên quan đến nhiều lĩnh vực bao gồm Tổ hợp, Hình học Đại số, Chương trình Langlands và Số học dưới sự ảnh hưởng của các Giáo sư Cheryl Praeger, Laurent Lafforgue, Ngô Bảo Châu, Bruno Anglès và Floric Tavares Ribeiro.
