1. Eitan Yaakobi is an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He received the B.A. degrees in computer science and mathematics, and the M.Sc. degree in computer science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego, in 2011. Between 2011-2013, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology and the Center of Memories and Recording Research at the University of California, San Diego.

His research interests include information and coding theory with several applications to non-volatile memories, distributed storage, and private information retrieval. In particular, his work has been focused on advancing coding solutions for memories and systems and their application in state of the art storage systems. He is also working on next generations memories such as racetrack memories and DNA storage systems. In last ten years, he has published more than a hundred papers in top journals and conferences in the fields of coding theory and information theory. He is also an inventor of a few US patents in memory devices. He received the Marconi Society Young Scholar Award in 2009 and was a recipient of the Intel Ph.D. fellowship in 2010-2011.

2. Dau Son Hoang is currently a lecturer in Computer Science and Information Technology at RMIT University, Australia. He got his bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics & Informatics from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in 2006, and his PhD’s degree in Mathematics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2012. He has been working on Coding Theory and Discrete Mathematics for more than ten years and has published 13 papers in reputable journals in these fields such as IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Selected Areas in Communications, Algorithmica, and SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics. He is currently the chief investigator of a 3-year DECRA project on advanced coding techniques for fast failure recovery in distributed storage systems, awarded by the Australian Research Council in 2018.

3. Vu Van Khu is currently a researcher in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) - Singapore. He received the B.Sc degree in mathematics from Vietnam National University (VNU) - Hanoi in 2010 and the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from NTU in 2018. Between 2010-2012, he was a lecturer at Faculty of Mathematics, Mechanics and Informatics in VNU - Hanoi University of Sciences.

His ultimate goal is to study and develop mathematical tools in combinatorics, algebra, probability and statistic to invent original coding techniques and new algorithms to solve real world problems. In last five years, he has published more than ten papers in the top journal and conference in the fields of coding theory and information theory. His current research concentrates on coding techniques for various data storage systems, such as Flash memories, Racetrack memories, Resistive memories and DNA based data storage.

4. Tran Thi Luong is currently a lecturer at the Academy of Cryptography Techniques (Học viện Kỹ thuật mật mã), Hanoi. She got her bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics & Informatics from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in 2006, and has been an active researcher in database security since. She successfully defended her PhD thesis on substitution–permutation network (SPN) block cipher in 2018, in which techniques from coding theory was employed to improve the performance and security of SPN. She was the chief investigator of the project “Constructions of MDS and dynamic MDS matrices for the dynamic diffusion layer of block ciphers” (2014-2015) and an investigator of the project “Constructions of cryptographic primitives for digital signature schemes and key exchange protocols using public key cryptography” (2018-2020).
